热塑性硫化橡胶(Thermoplastic Vulcanizate),简称为TPV,热塑性硫化橡胶的中文简称为热塑性橡胶(Thermoplastic Rubber),简称为TPR,但这个名称容易和其它种类的热塑性弹性体(Thermoplastic Elastomer)相混淆在一起,因为通常热塑性弹性体也被大家叫做热塑性橡胶,尤其是苯乙烯类弹性体,至少在中国似乎"TPR”已经成为它的专有名称了,一提起TPR,就是指以SBS、SEBS等苯乙烯类弹性体为基料的热塑性弹性体,这与苯乙烯类弹性体在民用以及终端消费品领域中消耗量之大是分不开的。

概念
热塑性硫化橡胶的名称如果再说的详细一点,那应该是热塑性动态硫化橡胶(Thermoplastic Dyamic Vulcanizate),加了“动态”2字是更具体说明了生产这种热塑性硫化橡胶的工艺——动态硫化,这种工艺指在橡胶和热塑性塑料熔融共混过程中使橡胶硫化,当然在橡胶在硫化的同时也不断与热塑性塑料相混合,因此被硫化了的橡胶是作为分散相分布在热塑性塑料连续相中。与之相对应的热塑性静态硫化橡胶,就是指橡胶按传统方法先硫化好,然后通过磨粉设备把硫化好的橡胶磨成粉,最后与熔融的热塑性塑料共混,理论上这种方法也能制得性能优良的TPV,但只是处于实验室阶段。

应用
从热塑性硫化橡胶的性能来说,主要在以下几个方面有应用:
1.密封(建筑/汽车密封条,密封圈)
2.SOFT TOUCH,柔软的手感(手柄、握把)
3.抗冲、防震;柔韧性(脚轮、缓冲块;电线电缆、软管)
4.塑料改性,提高材料的韧性以及抗冲击程度。
从热塑性硫化橡胶的性能有别于一般的热塑性弹性体来说,它的应用更偏向于工业制品:
1.耐高温方面,常规的全硫化PP/EPDM可达到135,杜邦推出的工程热塑性硫化橡胶更可耐150以上;
24.耐溶剂及油品方面,TPV中因具有交联的橡胶微粒相,所以通常比较耐溶剂和油品。

Ravago has plastic compounding facilities in the United States located in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, and Texas.

History
On 25 April 1961, the company was founded by Raf Van Gorp and in 1965 he bought the premises of his former employer, a dynamite company (PRB: Poudre Reunion d'Arendonk, Belgique) in Arendonk.

Operations
Today, the Ravago group represents over 6,600,000 metric tons of annual polymer sales serving more than 50,000 active customers through 325+ locations across more than 55+ countries worldwide. Ravago’s production competence consists of 45+ manufacturing facilities of which 19 recycling and compounding plants in North America, Europe, Asia and Africa with a combined annual capacity of over 775,000 metric tons; 13 production plants in Europe that are offering finished products for the building sector and 7 plants and 126 application laboratories for the Chemicals business.
